Málaga is beginning to shake off its reputation as just an affordable holiday destination. In Málaga City, the capital of the region of the same name, there has been a large amount of investment by the government into its culture, with the inauguration of a total of 30 museums. The lower budget end at around €1,000pm is a Small to medium apartment, €1,500 would be a large apartment or penthouse apartment, €2,000 would be a small townhouse, and over €2,500 would be a larger townhouse or villa. If you’re one of the lucky ones, and you’re not working towards a budget on a long-term rental, a luxury villa could cost you in the region of €5,000 per month.

If you’re moving permanently to Spain, a long-term rental is an ideal option as this will allow you to assess the area to make sure that’s the best area for you.
